San Miguel, El Salvador, 1942. Admitted to Bar, 1968. Legal Education: University of El Salvador. (Doctor in Juris and Social Sciences). Extra Curriculum Activities: Law professor in the National University of El Salvador. Founder (1969) and President of the Center for Legal Studies of El Salvador (1976/78, 1987/89). Former President of the Federation of Lawyers´ Association of El Salvador (1978-1979). Minister of Justice of El Salvador (1979). Principal Constitutional Congressman in the drafting of the current Constitution (1982/1985). Member of the Board of Directors of the American Chamber of Commerce of El Salvador or AMCHAM, since 2004. Director of the Center of mediation, Conciliation and Arbitration of the Salvadoran Chamber of Commerce and Industry”, since 2004. |
Member of the Committee for Legal Studies of the Salvadoran Foundation for the Economic and Social Development (Fusades). Founder and former director of the Salvadoran Association of Banking Law (Asdeban) 1997-2007. Founder and former director of the Salvadoran Association of Intellectual Property (ASPI) (1998). Founder and dircetor of the Iberoamerican Institute of Constitutional law (branch of El Salvador) since 2003. Member and Director of the, Interamerican Bar Foundation, Washington D.C., USA, Since 1994. Languages: Spanish and English. Practice Areas: Law in general, with emphasis on Commercial Arbitration, banking, Corporate law, Constitutional, Civil, Commercial, Foreign Investment, Oil and Gas Law and Litigation.
